Birth Certificates/Atti di nascita

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Birth Certificates/Atti di nascita

Postby blueyed1 » 21 Nov 2008, 10:47

Hello all,

I'm looking for the birth certificates of my great-grandparents, both from the province of Bari. My great-grandfather was born in Grumo Appula in 1897 and my great-grandmother was born in Palo del Colle in 1899. Any help that you could give me would be great.

In addition, I'm in Europe now so I was going to go to Italy to get these documents, so if you know where to physically go that would be great to.
