Complete Ships List

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Complete Ships List

Postby Mardi » 31 Dec 2008, 18:33

Good Afternoon. I am needing some help on how can I find the Complete ships list of ALL the passengers that was on the Ship: BOLIVIA that arrived in NEW ORLEANS, LA on NOVEMBER 9, 1896

My Grandmother was on that ship and just found out that also my Great Uncle (on my Grandfather side ) was also on that same ship. Of course both names were badly misspelled.

I would like to see what other releatives, were also traveling on the Bolivia.

Thank you for your help......and wishing everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Mardi.

FHL microfilm roll#906709 item 7 covers April and May 1851...all ships listed on this microfilm roll are also included in the NARA microfilm publication listed above (PASSENGER LISTS OF VESSELS ARRIVING AT NEW ORLEANS 1820-1902).

These films can be ordered for viewing from Family History Centers and are also avilable atht he New orleans Public Library. =Peter=

Do you have access to Ancestry? You can pull up manifest by port, ship name and date.
wldspirit

Note: There are a total of 1200 passengers listed.....
can you search by first name only?

Thank you Peter, unfortunate I am not in New Orleans, and the city Library, does not have anyway I could view the film.

But Wldspirit, I do have access to Ancestr. Where do I go on Ancestry to pull up the 1200 passengers listed. I'll give it a try.

And thanks to you both for the help and advise.
Mardi

To the right of the search page, click on Immigration, then scroll down to
New Orleans Passenger List, click on this, when the search box comes up,
type in the name of the ship and the year, click search and you should be good to go!!

If you have any problems let me know and I should be able to send you a link.

Dear Mardi I said not only the N.O. Public Library but the Mormon family history Library nearest your home can also order up the film roll #906709 if you did not have access to ancestry.com which apparently you do per Wildspirit. =Peter=
