Hello Everyone

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

They went to Springvalley first, coal mining labor, then to Pekin, Illinois,
where my Nonno bought his own coal mine.
I live Northwest of Peoria.
The Uncle's name was Francesco, he had a brother who I believe ended up in Chicago, where I was born. I can't recall the brother, somewhere in my notes I have his name.
The family was from Talamello and a few of the nearby towns in the Marche.
Family names are Cupi, Grifoni, Michi and Rapetti.
