Searching De Lisi Ancestry

Postby fdelisi » 28 Oct 2003, 05:37

My grandfather Ferdinando De Lisi from Mignano Monte Lungo born Sept. 9 1900 married Maria Grazia Di Nallo from Cervaro and born around January 1 1897. He immigrated to Canada through Ellis island in 1923.

His Father was Biagio De Lisi originally from Galluccio and born around 1855. Biagio was married to Alessandra De Luca originally from Cervaro and born around 1857.

Any additional information as to further ancestry would be very much appreciated.

Thank you

If you go to the family history librarey of the Mormon church and request the micorfilm which you can rent for a modest fee for Mignano Monte Lungo for civil records for all inhabitants from 1816 to 1905. There is a book called Discovering Your Italian Ancestors by Lynn Nelson which is an excellent companion to the microfilm researches. Peter

As requested go to www.mormon.org and search under information for the nearest family history library in Canada where you are located. Peter
