Application submitted to LA Consulate 1yr ago and no word

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Application submitted to LA Consulate 1yr ago and no word

Does anyone know how long it normally takes to hear back from the Consulate once a Dual Citizenship application is filed? A year seems like a long time but I know those folks are pretty busy.

Applications often take a while to process especially since they have a large backlog. Some have heard very quickly, but for most the wait is a year or longer.

Thanks for the reply "mler". I was getting a little worried that my application may have been lost.
