US Citizenship

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

US Citizenship

Postby Sirena » 27 May 2009, 00:55

If an Italian woman became a US citizen because she married a man who was already naturalized, does anyone know what type of paperwork, if any, she would have to show that she is a citizen?

Just a guess, but I don't think she would have had any paperwork in her name. A child who received derivative U.S. citizenship by virtue of his father's naturalization did not receive his own certificate of citizenship. I'm thinking it was the same for wives.
