paperwork question - San Francisco Consulate

Postby MichaelInOregon » 11 Jun 2009, 21:30

I am applying for citizenship through Jure Sanguinis. Grandfather born in Italy (deceased) , never naturalized - Father born in USA in 1945 (living).

I have a mail-in appointment with the San Francisco Consulate on July 15 … and I am finalizing my application. Anyway I am very confused about Form 2/B. Who completes this form? Obviously I complete Form 2/A about myself. Should my father (born in USA) complete 2/B? The wording throws me off! Maybe may father should complete his own 2/A and forget about 2/B all together??? Any help would be much appreciated.

Also ... does anyone have some experience working with San Francisco and would like to offer any hins or advice?

If your father is not himself applying, he completes form 2B as your living ascendent.

Otherwise, I can't help. I'm on the East Coast.

You may want to check the forum at

Several posters have used the SF consulate.
