dual citizenship- through australia

Hi,
I am applying for dual citzenship (italian passport) in australia... i find it difficult and am not sure if I am 100% eligible for it. I dont want to pay someone to do it bcoz they are to expensive... I have got most of the documents I need I think, can any one help, anyone in australia applied for an italian passport and how did u go?

I hope you find the help you need. I'm sorry I don't have experience applying in Australia. I just remember reading that two consulates there are scheduled to close next year, Adelaide and Brisbane, due to budget cuts. (Two in the USA are closing as well.) I don't know if this would impact you, but if so, you'd want to talk with your consulate about how it would affect your application.
