PLs help- italian consualte melbourne

I Have just been to the italian consualte in melbourne, it says to go they will tell u if u qaulify and then book u in for an appt for the passport, well
firstly the guy was so unhelpful, im not 100% sure if i qaulify, my appt isn until 4 march 2010- i am unsure if this is to tell me i qualify or for the paperwork...
shud i jus get everything done and take it in wit me! i am also not 100% sure on what paperwork i need
pls help. he also didnt give me a recommened translator in melbourne victoria!! :(

I would like to research my family history and find out as much as I can =)

Dear Leash its homework time! go to www.COASIT.com.au/IHS/collection.html website for information about Italian Assistance organization. Their e-mail is at the bottom....ihs@coasit.com.au and ask them for help. They are in Melbourne last I heard. =Peter=
