Census question

Postby SChiarini » 30 Apr 2010, 16:08

I had a question about obtaining a 1930's census. If an ancestor never naturalized- I've heard NY sometimes will require a census.

The 1930 census was taken in April , and although it lists my GGF as an "AL", my grandmother was not on the census because she was born in July of 1930.

Does it make sense to order a copy?

He also died in 1932, so the 1940 census wouldn't have him listed.
