Italian Citizenship

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Italian Citizenship

Postby LuigiF » 04 May 2010, 13:54

I finished the process of filling my document to the Embassy in Toronto in January.
They have sent my Approved paper work to Rome and now we are waiting for confirmation from the Comune in Porto Empedocle regarding my Official Status as an Italian Citizen...Almost there,,
I have spoke to my Local Console and they have faxed a request to Porto Empedocle...Is there any way I can confirm my status faster for my Passport.

You could simply telephone the comune; preferably have an Italian-speaking friend or relative make the call for you.

Email might work as well. Numbers/addresses are here http://www.comune.portoempedocle.ag.it/ ... grafe.html
