Clemente & Carolina Lemmi's sons

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Most likely, yes.

However, it will be very difficult to locate information. They married in 1932; the 1940 census will not be publicly available for a few more years and the 1950 census not for 12 more years.

They married in New York; if children were also born in New York... well, it is nearly impossible to get birth records from New York state under most circumstances.

For the entire family - Antonio, Colomba, Clementino, etc - I continue to look but cannot find any census other than the 1910 in your other thread. I find this very odd.

Well, this might explain a few things:

1) Clemente travelled to the US in March, 1927:

New York Passenger Lists, 1820-1957
about Clemente Lemmi
Name: Clemente Lemmi
Arrival Date: 11 Mar 1927
Birth Year: 1908
Birth Location: New Jersey
Birth Location Other: Port Reading
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Port of Departure: Genoa, Italy
Port of Arrival: New York, New York
Ship Name: Conte Biancamano

2) Clemente and Enis travelled to the US in September, 1938:

New York Passenger Lists, 1820-1957
about Clemente Lemmi
Name: Clemente Lemmi
Arrival Date: 29 Sep 1938
Birth Year: abt 1909

Birth Location Other: Port Reading

I wonder if Antonio and Colomba returned to Italy with their son sometime after 1910 and remained there? Then Clemente eventually returned to the US, and lived in New York until his death in 1978?

Does the name "Delfina Lemmi" fit into your family tree in any way?

Any relatives last name "Zucca"?

Okay. I found a Delfina Lemmi, aged 7, about the same period of time. Left behind Uncle Giovanni Zucca in Italy, traveling to meet Uncle Giuseppe Zucca in the US. Seemed like an outside chance they tied into your family search.
