Bandeira is not normally an Italian surname and it is not listed in the italian surname dictionary so chances are it is not Bandeira but some other surname. Bandi is the base surname and all other surnames in Italy are derived from that base. Peter

---------------
In Italy Bandiera surname is diffused, and on this webpage:" A minha família Bandiera chegou ao Brasil no dia 7 de agosto do ano de 1895.

Hello,

My name is Vitoria Hansen, I am from Brazil, and looking for relatives
with Bandiera surname for my genealogy tree. My great grand mother was
Giuseppina Bandiera, married with Giacomo Bagatin, they came to Brazil
in 1891 - from some place in Veneto Treviso - I need to find what is
this place in order to ask for their birth and marriage certificate
for my file. If you know something about them, please contact me.

Thanks a lot

Vitoria
