I am from Australia, my mother is a Prestipino. My Grandfather came out to Australia from Sicily province of Catania approx 1913. His first name is Fillippo. I am searching for information about this family. I believe my great grandparents names were Franco and Ciara and living in Caltabiano a small town in province Catania. Can anyone help?

Here there are some infos about Calatabiano.
You can also send request of civil records to:

Comune
Ufficio di Stato Civile
Piazza Vittorio Emanuele
95011 Calatabiano (CT)
Italy

or to

Archivio di Stato di Catania

or rent to FHL (mormon church) the microfilm about Calatabiano

Here there are some Prestipino living in Calatabiano

I hope it helps, bye Riccardo
