Any1 have microfilm for Catania or Siracusa? 1888 and 1890..

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Any1 have microfilm for Catania or Siracusa? 1888 and 1890..

Postby JPMessina44 » 20 Oct 2010, 23:42

Curious if anybody has microfilm for Catania or Siracusa that they could look up my great grandmother and/or great grandfather's birth records....

I do have letters and emails out to both the provinces and towns....so hopefully they come back and help me but just trying to stay on top of this....

GGrandfather:
Paolo Messina- born 1888...I believe he was born in Sant'Antonio, Catania.
Father name was Rosario Messina and mother was Antonia Battiata.

GGrandmother:
Maria Maddalena Di Santo, born in 1890. I believe she was born in Buccheri, Siracusa. (other names used: Ma. Maddalena, Maria Madelena, Madalena, Maddalena.)
Fathers name was Rosario Di Santo and Mother was Vita Brullo.

Id appreciate any help with this! Thank you very much in advance.
