Will the consulate accept a church marriage certificate instead of a state issued one . This is for the NYC consulate.

As far as I know, no consulate will take the church document. It has to be a state issued long form certified copy

They will take a church document in lieu of a birth certificate so why not marriage?

I guess it depends on the consulate. There was man on this board awhile ago who only had a church document for proof of birth and they wouldnt accept it. Did they tell you they will take church over state for a birth?
