Are there any emigration records in italy?

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Are there any emigration records in italy?

I guess this is being hopeful but as I can not find any naturalization papers for my ancestor Samuele Roberti and I don't know how he arrived in the UK I wondered if there are any records kept in italy of people emigrating?

The short answer is, unfortunately, no.

Our forum member, jamiecapaldi, has done extensive research on Italians who have emigrated to the UK; you may want to PM him and see if he can offer any guidelines.

My hobby is finding things. Having found most of my own, I am happy to help others find theirs. PM me! :)
