About Citizenship Process

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

3-4 months is a good period..
so because the papers were sent to Italy so the citizenship is almost guaranteed or the papers might be refused ??
waiting For An Answer from Carmine..
Thanx sceaminmonkey..

I forget, which consulate are you using?

Normally, the decision for jus sanguinis cases is made at the consulate by the stato civile officer who is resident there. If he/she approves your case, he forwards your birth certificate (and marriage, if applicable) to the ancestral comune for registration and that is the end of the story. Our best information is that the comune has no say in the citizenship decision; although they may complain about some particulars such as issues with names not in accordance with Italian law as one of our forum members recently learned.
