FRUSTRATED But going to push through.

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

mistakes with names(spelling, missing) is the worst. illinois requires a record with exact name you want on the BC and the evidence has to be on a doc prior to 19 years old. well all the docs i have only have one not both of them i need on his BC. it looks like i have to get a name change with my fathers BC. More delays....

keep you head up, it will be worth it in the end. Sucks now, but think of all the benefits of your hard work, holding the passport, etc etc. That's what helped me. :)

Good luck!

I hear ya.....I had Paolo to Paul on different docs with my ggrpa, Guiseppe to Joseph on various docs of my gpa, my ggma (non direct) went by 4 variations of her name....maddelena, Maria Madeline, etc etc....

My father was Paul and then began using Paul J.....

Keep plugging away though, it will all work out in the end for ya, promise! :)
