Done and how long it took

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Done and how long it took

Postby bmilazzo » 04 Feb 2011, 00:25

I went to the consulate today, submitted my documents, submitted my application - I am done with this important phase.
It was confirmed that the decision given me to day and my "approval" at this level means that my documents only need to be recorded. So now I wait.
I did not submit any translations and the few issues that arose were addressed.

I started from scratch last March 2010. There were some discrepancies which did not require changes. I did not have to produce any translations.
I am now waiting for my recognition.

Thank you. Any idea how long you have to wait until you will receive your passport?

I asked. The response was "how long did it take for the comune to send my GF's BC?" It took the comune about a month from the time I emailed them until the time i received by mail my GF's BC.
So maybe a month or two? as we get closer to summer, it will take longer.
