looking to continue my family tree.

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

looking to continue my family tree.

Postby sceaminmonkey » 06 Mar 2011, 04:42

so along my journey for citizenship I found out so much that I want to continue. I have my great great grandparents names but, I dont know where to go from there. I can not verify alot of the information so If I find something I wont know if its them for sure. I am looking for tips on how to go about this. so far the communes just give names but no profession or address etc. This is for the commune of naples.

If you can obtain your gggparents' birth certificates, it will probably list their parents' names. That may be a first step if you want to research further back. The comune of Napoli is a large one, but they seem to respond fairly quickly to such requests.
