Now that the fact that I am an Italian Citizen has been recognized, how do I go about voting? Will they send me "stuff" automatically? Will candidates send me information as to their positions on various issues?

Candidates here don't send stuff to locals so don't expect to get anything from here except instructions on voting outside the country maybe. Ask the consulate.
