GG Grandfather Giovanni Garibaldi

Postby MaryGenottiCollins » 29 Aug 2004, 03:45

Hello, I am trying to find out what ship and port my gg grandfather Giovanni Garibaldi came through. He came here in 1850 and was born in 1831. He lived his enitre "american" life in Lexington VA and was in the civil war here after his arrival.

We are supposed to be related to the Great Garibaldi but haven't found the link yet....so the more info I can gather the better it will be. He was from Chiavari.

Thanks,

Mary Genotti-Collins

To find out the genealogy of Garibaldi family you can do that easily enough thru the internet or wwww.google.com by inserting Garibaldi immediate family . For the matter of arrival int he USA go to www.NARA.gov and select immigration and then order forms and order I -81 USA passenger arrivals from 1820 to 1959 for all portsd. Lots of luck. Peter
