Consulate won't answer phone to make appointment (Houston)

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Consulate won't answer phone to make appointment (Houston)

Postby Squigy » 14 Dec 2011, 22:53

I've called the Consulate in Houston a couple times down, and keep getting recordings. I've also emailed them and received no replies.

How am I supposed to make an appointment?? I'd like to make one for the 6th of August, 2012 (I figure I should have all my documents by then - apostilled, translated, and ready to go). Should I keep calling or just go down without an appointment (it's 10 hours away, so that's not the best option).

Thanks!
My Italian surnames:

Caserta: Maietta, Rossano, Tessitore, Negro, Peluso, Musone

Campobasso: D'Andrea, Barile

Catanzaro: Fiorelli/Fiorillo, Romito

Keep trying. The consulate will respond in its own good time. Neither you, nor anyone on these discussion boards can compell the consulate to do anything. (Think of the consulate as an Italian speaking office of motor vehicles!)

August may not be the best month to seek an appointment as that is a big vacation monht.

You should make the appointment online...

https://web.esteri.it/prenotaOnline/log ... otaOnline/

They are somehow flexible (at least they used to be)

Thanks for the replies!

Just got a PM from someone linking the site Todo mentioned. I'll try that, thanks!
