Help solve a mystery

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Help solve a mystery

Postby montagno » 19 May 2012, 05:53

Hello all,

This is not a typical request and I am not sure if this is the right forum.

I am trying to find the name of my grandmother ( not sure if she is Italian). I don't have much information to go on and I have been searching for years. Here is what I know.

My father's name is Albert John Newell, he was born in Brooklyn NY , 11/27/1941

His father's name was Albert Newell he was born 02/24/1912, possibly in Canada.
He married Clara F. Montagno??? she was born Oct. 31, 1922, possibly born in NY. This is not my grandmother they were possibly married after my dad was born.

Any information on their marriage or my dad's birth certificate would be greatly appreciated.

I have exhausted all of my resources. Please help.
