Ratto and Lavezzo

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Ratto and Lavezzo

I am looking for any information on my great grandparents. My great grandfather's name was Gian Battista Ratto and his wife's name was Anna Lavezzo. They actaully married in Boston, MA in 1881. He was born around 1856 and she was born in 1863 somewhere in Genoa. They left Genoa heading for South America but ended up instead in California. They then made their way to Boston, Mass. I am trying to find out any information I can on them. I believe my great grandmother had a sister who also came to America ( her name may have been Rose). I don't know anything about other siblings. I believe my great grandfather's parent's names were Maria and Paola Ratto and my great grandmother's parents were Giovanni and Roza Lavezzo. Any information would be greatly apprecaited.
