italian citizanship through marriage

Has anyone tried to acquire citizenship through marriage? I just received my dual citizenship (and passport just today!!!!) and would like my husband to be able to get his through marriage. The consulate explanation seems to be as confusing dual citizenship jure sanguis! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Grazie

It is a lot easier than JS. The NY web site has it spelled out pretty clear as to waht they will require. However if that is still confusing here is a link to a board that will have a wealth of informaiton and some of the best experts on these matters:

I just started the process for my wife and found the hardest thing was getting all the reports we need from several states for the background checks to arrive about the same time as they are time sensitive.
