Received a birh certificate from Sartirana Italy

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Received a birh certificate from Sartirana Italy

Postby 120camden » 27 Oct 2012, 14:53

Someone gave the the address information from this site. Comune di Sartirana Lomellina. This was listed as my GGM place of birth in her US obituary. Confirms the maiden name of TOSI. Originally emailed them, they responded for more informmation last week. I responded (all google Italian!) and now the letter!!
Her parents were Pasquarelli Tosi and Maria Angelo if anyone can gather information about them. Now I need to start tracing her life forward and figure out her life. I now she lived in Buenos Aires around 1900 (??) and then lived in France 1920 (for sure). I have someone in France trying to find a Marriage certificate for Armand Lagneau (b1863) and Jeanne Tosi.
Thanks to all who help me.
