Italian Birth Certificate from Mirabella Eclano

Post by kileyhurd »

Hello, I'm trying to request a copy of my great grandfather's birth certificate from Mirabella Eclano and I'm not sure how to go about it. I've tried contacting them through their website, but have not received a response. Does anyone have experience with this that could help me out?

Thanks!

Its a small town and probably the anagrafe office doesn't have email access.
Write a letter in Italian and enclose an addressed envelope and some photo ID.

Every Comune has email addresses.
Here are the ones for Mirabella Eclano: http://www.comune.mirabellaeclano.av.it ... al-comune/

Livio,
You are right, but not all anagrafe offices have email access and many people who send emails for records don't include a snail mail address and even if the anagrafe office has access they often don't have scanners or the means to send the information.

Thanks for the answers! If I write to the comune, do I need to include return postage/any money for a birth certificate?

They are asking for a postal address or a Fax number where to send the requested certificate.
