Post by cquirico »

I'm looking for some info on my 2nd great grand father/mothers birth and marriage certificates. Camillo Quirico born 5/24/1872 in the providence of Asti and the region of Piemonte. He arrived in the US in 1901. My 2nd great grandmother name is Teresa Q Quirico, she was born on 3/24/1876 and arrived in the US in 1908. if anyone can help me that would be grateful.

Do you know the exact town they were from? If you don't, maybe it can be found in their ship manifests (if they were the first generation to go to USA)

The records I've looked at on Ancestry.com for Camillo and Teresa Quirico all list ASTI as the place of birth. (Declaration of Intent, Petition for Naturalization, US Passport Application)

In addition, on the US Passport application for Teresa [widowed] and her son, Enrico, for travel to Italy in 1924, soon after the death of Camillo, she lists her marriage date as 1894...

You may wish to write directly to Asti to request their marriage record and/or birth records

Ufficio dello Stato Civile
Piazza San Secondo, 1
14100 Asti (AT)

If it's his mother's line, the proper designation would be gggf, ggf, gm, m, applicant. In that case the line works if the mother was born in 1948 or later (assuming no loss of citizenship that ended the line) .
