My Brazilian friend told me there is a 10-year wait in Brazil. This was confirmed by another Brazilian. I would avoid, at all costs, applying in Brazil.

I am under the impression that if your great grandfather gave up his citizenship, but the children did not then the line is not broken as long as the children are born before he gave up the citizenship.
