Citizenship through marraige wait period.

Citizenship through marraige wait period.

I know the standard time for this process is 730 days from the day of your appointment. But has anyone heard of it taking less time for Rome to finalize the application and send a letter to come in for a passport?

Just curious,

If this is any help, I live in Italy and friends of mine who have married non-Italians find that after applying in Italy, it takes at least five years from date of marriage to issuance of Italian passport for the foreign spouse.
