Naturalization process

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Naturalization process

Postby gliesian66 » 03 Nov 2013, 04:28

Can someone explain the naturalization process to me?

I know that my great grandfather came to the U.S. in 1904 but didn't get Naturalized until 1921.

Here is his naturalization record:

What does it all mean? And why did it take so long?

Thanks,
Robert
