My grandfather, Alphonse Corona (8/19/1986), arrived on a ship in 1898 or 1899 with his family. They were from Sciacca and port of entry was New Orleans. How do I find them in a passenger list. Father: Vincent Corona(DOB - 9/1849), Mother: Catherine Gallo(DOB - 9/1860), Siblings: Gustav (10/1879), Geroloma (5/1883), Joseph (9/1886), Onofrio (9/1888), Badassare (10/1891), Natina (7/1899).
One census says 1898 and one says 1899. The whole family stayed in New Orleans. I guess it is an assumption but we're talking about 12 people. New Orleans even had a Sciacca Society as seen in some of the obits that my father saved.
