Ellis Island Manifest-could it be wrong?

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Ellis Island Manifest-could it be wrong?

Postby phishfood » 07 Sep 2005, 04:40

I found this on the ellis island website. This maybe my great grandfater but when it says to look at line 7 it is not the same name. Could it be the wrong manifest or why would it have someone completely different?

Series   Roll   Volume   Year   Month   Day   Frame   Ship   Port   FHL roll
1   T715   854   1925   1907   March   27   ?   Hamburg (inaccessible)   ?   1399538

no luck.... once it is inaccessible... you can't view it online...

If you want to view this manifest, you would have to order the reel at a Family History Center... this is the #...The Family Library roll # 1399538

Didn't we mention this on one of your other posts?? Got your private message... will see what I can do... just have an unusual craving for icecream right now...

oh one more thing... if your Reference Library near you has film readers... you could order film there instead... it's cheap... and if it's the answer you need... it could well be worth the $3.50 American... $5.50 in Canada :?

I don't know who those other 2 people are who he traveled with. Do you think it would be worth ordering the film? You would think he would be traveling with his parents or something. So with the film number you gave me, that is the manifest I can order from the Family History Library?

You bet...

It probably has other ship records for that time period as well.. but if you really feel that this could be your Luigi Marrone (really Colantonio) .... and you really want a ship's record as a keepsake... I would certainly order the reel...

Plus we never know what kind of info can found on a manifest... some explode with info... and some.. don't tell us much...

Take this number with you if you order...

FHL # 1399538

and when the film does come in... take the info below with you

Last Name: Marrone

Date of Arrival: March 28, 1907
