Are you asking for a PLACE that sounds like dilissio?
Or are you asking about a surname?

Can you give us some additional information. We can try to puzzle this out for you.

Name of son? OR post the death certificate...
Place of residence of son.
Your great grandmother's full name (married and maiden)
Approximate year of immigration? Where settled?
Name of her husband.

Using US records, we can sometimes find clues to lead us to a place of birth in Italy.

Based on pronunciation of dalisio - here are some possibilities:
Deliceto, comune of Deliceto, Foggia, Puglia
Dalli Sotto, comune of Sillano, Lucca, Tuscany
Di Nisio, comune of San Giovanni Teatino, Chieti, Abruzzo

Surname D'Alesio is found in all three of the above regions: Apuglia, Tuscany and Abruzzo

But as you can see from the following surname distribution map link, the name is more prominent in Campania and Lazio Regions.
