if you are trying to \"trace your roots\" and don\'t know how, I would suggest you read the preface ion the homepage of this website and click on conductging genealogy on the internet. In the interim if you know what documents you want or want to seek relatives in the town of origin in Italy I can give you the address and the website for any relatives in the town. That is www.paginebianche.it and insert the surname Icardi in the first line andIsola d\'Astgi in the third line and click cerca. If there are any persons with your surname they will come up on the screen. If you wish documents write to the Ufficio di Stato Civile in Isolad\'Asti in Italian and request the documents you wish by frunishing them with fnames and birthdates. Peter
