Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

copies of records

Postby buzzinrizza » 29 Jul 2006, 09:08

Hello all. I have a quick question regarding collecting the required documentation for obtaining Italian dual cintizenship. Are certified copies adequate for all records or just some. As far as birth/marriage certificates from Italy, most information I have found seems to require actual birth certificates. Is there a proper copy of these that are proper to present to the consulate? All of your help never fail to blow me away.

in USA you get certified copies of birth, marriage and deat record.
In Italy the comune gives you birth, marriage or death certificate.
