Naturalization help

Postby fafalini » 01 Mar 2007, 14:01

Hi everyone I found on Ancestry the naturalization card for my relative Anton Kirchner Common Pleas Court New York County date of Na Aug 21 1882 vol 526 copy record 45 90 Rivington st nyc occ bottler birth May 5 1859 German arrived Oct 10 1876 I got so excited to hopefully find a lot more about him but could not order it online. I proceeded to call their number and was told to contact New York which I did and the man there told me what you see is what you get. I expected to find out a lot more and I forgot to ask him about the dec of intent. Where would I get that or maybe there isn't any more info than that. He came on the ship Main and a Catherine and Balsar came with him. I lose Catherine from 159- 1898 when she died. She was born in Ger July 1 1818 died Oct 22 1898. I do not find her in any census. Anton is my great grandfather. So do I try to get a dec of intent? Thanks for your help Diane Brancato
