Where to start for Italian citizenship through jus sanguinis

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Where to start for Italian citizenship through jus sanguinis

Postby racerxnyc » 21 Jun 2007, 21:25

I am interested in acquisition of Italian citizenship through jus sanguinis.

My paternal grandfather father immigrated to the US from Monte Corvino Pugliano thru Ellis Island in 1903. My father was born in the US in 1911.

What papers/documents do I need to present?
What forms do I need to fill out?

I don't know where to start. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
