Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

I'm trying to locate the manifest for this person.

C. Raimondi
Occupation Servant, Gentleman's Servant
Age 38
Sex Female--This could be an error due to the occupation
Arrival date 16 Sep 1890 from Italy
Vessel-- Caledonia

I was able to locate this manifest and do not believe it is Elita's based on age. Also, the gender appears to be correct. Will continue to check.

Thanks biff for your help...

Yes I have the census from 1900... How ever I have Elita (Clito) death certificate.... on his death certificate it is Clito....
and if you look at the census... it is also Clito.... the C is very different from the E in Ellen...

but I to am stumped on his immigration..... I know he traveled a lot... Olga his daughter spoke many different languages..... and I belive that is why... but I'm so VERY Greatful for their (olga and ellen's) immigration... Olga was my Great Grandmother.... we called her Little Mema... if she was bearly 4'4"...

Thank you so much!!!.... If you have any luck on her father's info... keep me posted!!!

Thank you again!!!

Vessel was the Weser and the passengers arrived in NY via Castle Garden.

I used the Castle Garden search site to locate Elena and daughters
http://castlegarden.org/index.html

And then used Ancestry to locate the actual manifest.
