Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Mother's first name is inorrect on Grandfather's d

Postby SeanMann » 03 Nov 2007, 18:53

My grandfather died in 1975 and his death certificate lists his mother's first name incorrectly as Dorizata instead of Donata.

I do not have his mother's birth certificate yet (has not been located). I do have his parents marriage certificate and his father's birth certificate.

What do I need to do to have it amended? Will I be able to amend it with these documents?

I am also waiting for my Grandfather's birth certificate which should arrive soon (he was born in USA).
