old extinct italian surnames?

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

old extinct italian surnames?

Post by vespajames »

Hi,
Has anyone ever heard of the name Inpiazza or Impiazza ? My greatgrandfather Domenico Inpiazza came to London UK around 1898 from Naples but I can't find any record of the name in Italian databases even in the phone books. He was born around 1876. Currently searching for a cemetary record for an exact date of birth. Grandfather's name was Impiazzi which is current today.

Thanks
James
