never ending story looks good now need some help

Dear friends
Herewith I would like now to ask you for some advise.
My father registered my brothers and myself at birth at a South African Dept of Home Affairs.
Therefore we all have his signature on our birth certificate, and carry his surname Doria.

However, when we applied for Italian citizenship, we where told that our father should have acknowledged paternity in front of an Italian authority as well.

I was just told that it would be possible to take our birth certificates, with the signatures of my late father to an Italian court of law and have them recognised there

According to the Consulate General this is called a Motion Affidavit.
Now needing a lawyer or can this be done with some assistance from connections in italy.
Can you help out please this seems to be the last go to get my italian status

Kind regards,
