Philadelphia - Cemetery research

Postby pink67 » 01 Sep 2008, 15:11

Hi all!

I need help....
is there someone that can point me in the right direction just to find the exact location and address for this cemetery?

Holy Cross Cemetery, Philadelphia....

A man was buried there on February 10, 1923.

Found out that it does exist:

Holy Cross cemetery (catholic)
Bailey Road & Yeadon Avenue
Yeadon- Pennsylvania 19050

but, as the person was living in 706 Washington Avenue it seems to me a little bit strange that far cemetery...
There is (or was) another Holy Cross cemetery (now St. Mary?) in 1800 S. 10th Street, Philadelphia...???

Thanks in advance :D

Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA is a very large catholic cemetery just outside Philadelphia. The majority of my family from South Philadelphia are burried there. It is very common to see people from the southern part of Philly burried there. The people in the office are very helpful. The last time I stopped in there they were able to look someone up in the computer and print the listing of everyone in the grave. This site has some names:

I have also fuond allot of my family's graves on this site:
