john demarco and lucia branca

Postby alanna.burney » 25 Oct 2008, 01:29

my father and i are trying to trace our ancestors. we don't have much information yet about dates and such. his grandfather's name was john demarco and grandmother's name was lucia branca. we know they were from the calabria region and came to the US sometime in the early 20's or 30's through ellis island. my dad was born in chicago in the 40's. does anyone have any info about his grandparents?

as far as i know they were married in italy. my father's father was marvin burney but i can't remember his mom's name. they all lived in chicago in one house. my dad, don burney, has a sister, mary, that still lives in the chicago area if that helps.

Great :D !
Records after 1930 can be tough to nail down without exact names and locations.
Did your family ever live in Sterling IL?
Thanks! Valarie
