Question about finding residences

Postby mterrian » 25 Oct 2008, 14:33

I'm working on this portion of my genealogy, and I'm such a beginner that I don't know where to look for this portion of the information.

My grandfather's name was Giovanni DiCicco
Born in Sant'Elia Fiumerapido 08 Jan 1889,
son of Angelantonio DiCicco and Filomena Serra.

What resource do you go to when you're trying to find out where someone LIVED (address, not just city) at the time of his birth?

Thanks in advance for your patience with this newbie question!

Sinc e there does not appear to be any civil records on microfilm in the FHL nearest your home (www.familysearch.org for location) and there is no church indicated as being in existence in Sat'Elia Fiumerapido,003049,(FR) Lazio, your best bet maybe to either send an e-mail to the provincial archives at the Archivio di Stato at as-fr@beniculturali.it or write them a letter requesting the information in Italian (go to www.mangeruca.com for form letter in Italian) to Archivio di Stato, Piazza De Matthaeis 41, 03100, Sezioni Anagni Guarcino, Frosinone, Lazio, Italy requesting the information.
