Giampietri family, Navelli Italy

Postby burkharg » 27 Dec 2008, 16:19

My name is Gloria Burkhart and I live in the United States. I am doing looking for relatives of my Grandmother. Her name was Serafina Giampietri. She was born in 1892 in Navelli, Italy. Her parents were Stefano Giampietri and Carolina D'E'rcoli Giampietri.

Serafina migrated to the United States in 1920. She married Leopoldo Crocesi and had 5 children. One of the children was my mother Elda Crocesi.

I am researching our family tree and would like to learn more about Serafina Giampietri's family.

Welcome to IG!
Are you looking to complete US records or Italian records?
When you say family, do you mean past or present family in Italy?

If you go to your nearest Mormon family history Library (www.familysearch.org for location) and rent out the microfilm for Navelli's BMD;s from 1809 to 1910 for about $5.50. Bring along a book Disciovering Your Italian Ancestors by Lynn Nelson and a magnifying glas for the handwritten records.

Since your strating out go to www.angelfire.com/ok3/pearlsofwisdom/fr ... earch.html

Any questions get back to us. happy New year! =Peter=

Your in luck, the town of origin has been microfilmed by the Lds.
Dates are 1809 thru 1910. From this you can search all birth, marriage and death records:
