Peter that would be great . Where did you find that they were looking for heling name.
Saunj I tried to look at that web site(www.holywar.org) but I didn't get far.

I already posted an inquiry to them and am awaiting a reply. If you contact them (there are two different Heling searches) they will no doubt recognize the inquiry. Perhaps it might be better to wait until they respond and if they do not respond after soon I will let you take a crack at it so we can keep up the momentum rather than throw all our effort s into it and have nothing further to prod. Hi Sheila:
I have contacted for telephone Joseph family in Lanciano (in fact from this search turns out a Pietro Joseph from Lanciano-Chieti province-Abruzzo region).
Mrs. Joseph has explained to me that their last name was initially Giuseppe or De Giuseppe, but as a result of emigration its grandfather in USA, the last name has been americanized to the disembarkation in Joseph.
The descendants returns in Italy, hour carry last name De Joseph unfortunately. Regards, suanj

Moreover, is sure, that Joseph surname in Sicily, coming from Palermo town:
