Hi there! I am new here also and was scanning for Piana Dei Greci. Finding family I think. My great grandmother was born in Piana Dei Greci in 1878 and there were Clesceri's on her side of the family. I have postcards written back and forth from our family to theirs in Sicily. Some of them came to LOS ANGELES where we are and live here today.

Hi Katie! I would bet you and I are related. My great-great grandmother was born in Piana dei Greci in 1863, immigrated to America in 1898 thru the Port of New Orleans and then headed for Los Angeles. Her name was Giovanna 'Jennie' Clesceri Capaci. Her husband was Andrea Capaci, (also born in Piana in 1863), they had two kids, Giorgio and Anna. The name Clesceri is very rare in America, please drop me a line, maybe we can compare info?
Thanks a bunch!
Brigitte
